Please pray for the repose of the soul of Fr. Joseph Marion Greenwell, C.Ss.R., who died on September 2 at Mary Queen & Mother Center in St. Louis after a lengthy illness. Approaching his 98th birthday, he was the oldest member of the Denver Province and had served in ministry for 54 years.

Fr. Greenwell was born on November 6, 1920 in Rhodelia, KY. He professed perpetual vows on September 2, 1945. He was ordained to the priesthood on January 6, 1948. Fr. Greenwell served primarily in parish ministry throughout the Southern United States from 1949 until 2003, when he joined the St. Clement Health Care Center community. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
