Padre Migrante

The Redemptorists have been leaders in immigrant ministry from the time they first arrived in America. They have recently engaged in several initiatives focused on ministry with migrants and immigrants. In July, Fr. Mike McAndrew, C.Ss.R., working with Fr. Kevin Zubel, C.Ss.R., conceived the idea of creating a website dedicated to migrant ministry. The “Padre Migrante” Web Project seeks to celebrate our Redemptorist tradition of Hispanic immigrant ministry. It offers the lessons of our years of experience with immigrants in order to help local churches embrace their call to pastoral care of these families.
The goal of the website is to encourage greater pastoral care for migrants, immigrants and their families. While Fr. Mike may be the face of this website, it is his hope that people realize the ministry and love for migrants by Redemptorists; and that they find useful resources for their own ministries. There truly are many Padre Migrantes whose stories and experiences will be told on this website. You can also visit Padre Migrante daily on Facebook by clicking the button below.
