Hope Upon Hope

Pope Francis declared the theme of Jubilee Year 2025 to be “Pilgrims of Hope.” In that same spirit, Redemptorist St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church in Baton Rouge has set Sunday, March 30, 2025, as the date for their annual Messengers of Hope gala fundraiser. All proceeds from the benefit go to support St. Gerard Majella elementary school. The theme this year will be “Hope Upon Hope.” Once again it will be hosted by Chef John Folse at the beautiful White Oak Estate and Gardens.

The revival of St. Gerard school is intricately connected to the ongoing revitalization of St. Gerard parish. A recent sermon of pastor Fr. Tat Hoang, C.Ss.R., on the feast day of St. Clement Hoffbauer sums up the spirit of this revival. “Some of you are wondering what is going on at St. Gerard’s church, school and community in Baton Rouge. It seems there is new life, mission, zeal, hope, joy…. You are wondering right!” Help the Redemptorists continue our newly revitalized mission and ministry at St. Gerard’s!
