Fr. John Phelps Talks About Life Directions

Listen to the interview with our own Fr. John Phelps, C.Ss.R, on the Detroit radio show Anything Is Possible (WJR Radio AM-760 Detroit). The show aired on Saturday May 5.  The topic of conversation was our Redemptorist commitment to a “wounded world” featuring Fr. Phelps’ Life Directions program. Fr. Phelps is the cofounder, president and CEO of Life Directions, an organization that inspires achieving peers to mentor and lead others to take charge of their lives.

Life Directions’ mission is to motivate young people, ages 13-35 to mature into responsible, productive adults through self-direction. The program’s core values are self-responsibility, balance in relationships, partnership in diversity, and a mission-driven attitude.  Life Directions promotes the powerful dynamic of “Peers Inspiring Peers” in our neighborhoods, high schools, and middle schools.

Anything Is Possible is a weekly program hosted by Jack Krasula on WJR. Each one-hour show features a distinguished guest who shares their story of overcoming simple beginnings and many obstacles in their life to realize what most would term unachievable dreams. In addition, each guest will discuss how their journey has evolved into giving back to the community.
