Let Us Worship Our Risen Lord!

“Christ indeed from death is risen, our new life obtaining,
Have mercy, victor King, ever reigning!
Amen. Alleluia!” (Sequence of Easter)

We are filled with Easter joy and peace, the peace of Jesus risen from the dead! You and I have followed Jesus through Lent, and we have entered into the great mystery of his redeeming love.

This is the same experience you and I have when praying before the icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. The gold in the icon is symbolic of the light of the Risen Jesus flowing through us, and we allow this light to pass through us in our prayerful gazing.

In this Easter Season, you and I are invited to continue the journey we began on Ash Wednesday. In Lent we have walked with Jesus through his suffering and dying. Today we continue this walk with Him in his resurrected peace and joy.

Let us proclaim the living Jesus in our daily actions by taking to heart the message of the gospel Jesus gave to his disciples and us when he told them: “Go into the whole world and proclaim the good news to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)

May our Mother of Perpetual Help keep you close to Jesus during this Easter season. May she impart to you the joy she experienced in the Resurrection of her beloved Son!
